I have been told by the doctor that my leg and foot will have arthritis in it due to an injury I had. How do you deal with arthritis in the feet and legs? I would appreciate anyones comments.

My first tip would be - stop believing that you will have arthritis. The human mind is a very powerful tool, and if you believe in it too strongly, you might just make it happen. Secondly, there are several exercises you could ask your doctor for some guidance on what to do. Yoga or Tai Chi is the best thing to be doing to prevent arthritis, so see if you can find any good teachers in your area

Arthritis can be linked to genetics as well....An old fracture or traumatized area can be vulnerable to arthritis since there is a remodelling process that occurs after acute injury... Arthritis of joints can be debilitating but with strentheing exercises the muscles can take much of the stress that is intended for that specific joint. Non steroidal anti inflammatories meds are usually the mainstay of treatment , but those with GI disturbances be careful....An option for those may be a Cox 2 inhibitor, Celebrex which will be gentle to the GI and also reduce inflammation good luck

Thanks for your response. I do exersises and walk as much as I can in between working on the computer. I tokk the medicine Mobic but I was alergic to it so I went back to Tylenol or Advil for the pain until I can get back to the doctor and see what else I can try.

I watch what I eat, I walk a lot or as much as I can first thing in the morning on my way to work. I walk for about 50 minutes. I also drink this natural liquid supplement called Vemma. It is full of minerals and vitamins and that's what helps me. Good luck. Let me know if you want some information on it.

Thank you for your response. I am trying to increase my walking. I have an injury that I am trying to recoup from that is keeping me from being to walk as far as I would like too. I will look up that Vemma.

I don't have arthritis, but a woman told me that she place banana peels on her arthritis and the pain goes away. Banana peels also helps headaches to go away by placing over the forehead.
