oysters

i've read an article somewhere that oysters and crab has to be fully cooked to remove the bacteria, especially if there happen to be the man-eating bacteria. Is there any truth in the man-eting bacteria in seafood?

yeah, that is true, but not bacteria actually, there is a species of small worms, fine thread like kind, that lives inside the bodies of small crabs (talangka), if these crabs were not properly cooked and were eaten, those parasites would migrate from the stomach to the human lungs.. i forgot the name of the worms, i saw that on a special news on tv.. i hope i gave you something...

thats a scary thought. i'm now wondering if i should consume raw oysters the next time at the buffet haha thanks for giving me your 2ct worth :)

Yes, I have heard this too. So, better to be safe than sorry, I make sure it is fully cooked. I don't care for them raw anyways.

but i love raw oysters aiksss.. guess now it's all oysters kilpatrick or nothing for me boohoo
