I'm so pleased with myself. Why? Well, earlier this year, I promised myself that I was going to lose so that I could drop at least one more dress size. I didn't do like most people and start on new years. I actually started three weeks ago. Let be give you a brief history about myself before I go any further. In 2003, I started the Atkins diet and lost 20 pounds. I went from 182 to 162. I have been able to maintain that weight by watching my carb intake since then. This year I turned thirty and I decided to make a committment to myself to lose more weight. I didn't necessarily want to go back to Atkins so I thought I would exercise more. One morning approximately three weeks ago I woke up early and popped in Leslie Sansone's Walk away the pounds dvd. Since doing that I have walked at least two miles a day five days a week. In total, so far I have walked 35 miles. I am so excited. I feel so GREAT!!! Have any of you ever made a committment with yourself and stuck to it? If so, please share what is was and your accomplishments.

Well very big congratulations to you. That's a very good accomplishment. For the past year I promised to get more back into shape, so far I've only lost a few pounds, but this summer I'm expecting to loose about 10 to 20 pounds hopefully.

You have done better than me. I have never tried the Atkins diet, as I believe I would find it too extreme. I have been on the CSIRO diet. This is high protein, low card. For a while it worked, but when my husband developed allergies, it became more difficult to follow. I still go to weight watchers, and am now the Treasurer. Good on you for doing so well.

Initially, I thought it was going to be hard for me but I survived. You just have to be really strict for two weeks. The first two days are tough but after you make it through that, it gets easier and you see the results which really makes you want to continue. I'm going to look up information on the CSIRO, I've never heard of it. Thanks
