What's your best excuse for being late?

I use the classical excuse : "My bike got punctured!"

First of all, I believe in the value of punctuality. I don't like being late for a commitment. But if there is going to be a time that I'll be late, it'll probably be because a car accident occured.

I too believe in punctuality and a car accident would be probably the only reason that would make me late for an appointment or work or anything else.

I do not have an excuse for being late since I am never late to work. I always get to work at least a half hour early or a little more since I know that traffic is really bad in my state. I am early for everything. The only time I am late because of a preschedule appointment.
