I think sleep is overrated but most people prefer to get their 8 hours in or more. My Daughter has always required a lot of sleep 8-10 hrs. Me on the other hand I am good with about 5-6? What about you? what keeps you charged?

LOL I guess when I referred to my daughter I should mention that she is now 36 yrs old and still requires alot of sleep. Which some do. She goes pretty hard all day chasing two little boys around and running a business so she stays busy and is phsically tired at the end of the day.

I try to maintain a 6-8 hours sleep because of my work, but most of the times I get an average sleep of only 6 hours. But I am glad that we are allowed to take a nap in the afternoons, during our 30 mins. break from work. It helps me alot, I finish my work and perform well. Plus, it is also good for our health, because it helps our heart to function well.

I have heard of the 20 min. power naps, the gals I work with do that out in their cars during their lunch hour. They both come back in all rested and refreshed! I wish I could do that.

When I was younger, I could get by on 5 hours sleep and still function well at work. Now I prefer to get 7-8 hours sleep to be able to function well during the day. If this keeps up, I'll be needing 10 hours every night by the time I'm 75...LOL.

I know what you mean. Over 8 hrs of sleep and my back hurts for hours when I get up. Ah, the joys of growing older...LOL.

I had an old Garfield Poster that said "I DON'T DO MORNINGS" LOL that is pretty much how I feel about them. My hubby can open his eyes and start the day chipper and happy....ME on the other hand need lots of hot tea and quiet time to get the engines started. Speaking to me is NOT the way to win my smiles in the mornings.

I think my daughter and I are the same...we both do best when we've had about 8-10 hours of sleep. Any less for me and I'm too groggy the next day to do much of anything.

I feel dizzy when I'm not able to complete at least 6-7 hours of sleep per night. I just feel bad when i lack sleep.

that sounds reasonable to me. I would think less than that would make anyone a bit lethargic

I probably get an average of 6-7 hrs sleep per night. I'd like probably an hour more, and some nights I can manage that, and some not.

That should keep you charged enough for most of the week. An occasional lazy day can work wonders.

I really wish I could remeber what it is like to sleep for 8-10 hours! I think I could use it, but I don't seem to have the time. My energy comes from the adrenalin surge that bolts me straight up in bed as soon as the alarm goes off. I know I need to hit the floor running. I am pooped at the end of the day. I would love to languish in bed for a couple of extra hours.

Well, i used to sleep at midnight at around 2am, and wake up at 8am the following morning. I cant sleep early in evening and i think i'm good with about 6hrs. But sometimes, it makes me sleepy in the morning because i lack sleep at night. And what i do is getting a nap at noon and again get sleep at midnight..lol

It's amazing to me that I can start a habit or routine in one nite! Wake up at exactly like at 2:18 to go to the bathroom for like 3 nights in a row? it's so weird. Have you experienced that too?
