about dinner with people do not know each other

In a expensive restaurant,and food was know to be good.Only one i know who is the host of the party.most of time i kept silent.i can not enjoy some discussion.at the end the host claimed that it was a great success,but it is failure to me.Did you have the same dinner?

I can image the scene you discuss.but i want to give other opinion.In the business dinner,it always as you described,or a short introduce from host.At that time i always try to know more people in the dinner,no just keep silent.

I do not thing it is a dinner.i believe that is a bad experience.Maybe next time when you come to the restaurant,you will have the bad memory.
