I noticed that most people post in the same few catagories more than any other ones (myLot and people especially), which is because they have so many people who 'enjoy' these things. But how many of these discussions really fir into these catagories? I saw a money-making scam discussion in the relationship section a couple days ago. What?!
How much does it matter to you that the discussion match the interest? What about interests that only have a few people, should they just deal? Where would you draw the line?

I think the scam stuff posts where they think they are going to get to the most people. Some of the others might be because people are new and are hitting their same interests constantly. Me, I don't really start a lot of discussions but respond here and there as I see fit, that I have a comment or opinion. It's not that I don't have discussions I want to start, its more of, I do this to keep me writing and to keep writer's block at bay. It's a way to keep my mind flowing even when I'm not doing something heavily productive. Who knows where that next great article idea will come from?

For me I would participate in a discussion topic only if i think i would like to display my views or thoughts. If i come across a topic that I do not have much knowledge or views, I wouldnt bother unless i'm THAT curious. so far none. those posting should stay on the right track and not stray too far from the topic. if not then i think it defeats the the purpose of this forum.

I am not sure how posting discussions works, but I tried to post a discussion and had to pick a category from my personal interests to place it under. I don't have a personal interest for everything single thing that jumps into my head.....maybe I can create a catagory or interest for things I am curious about or something of a general nature. I have my interests entered, but that does not mean I am narrow minded and unable to have thoughts or opinons about other things.
