women tend to shop unnecessarily

most of the time i think that i shop unnecessarily.i pick up things that i dont need. It has become a habit i keep hoarding things and then i find no use for them and give them away. is there a way to stop!!!

I have been guilty of doing this with just little things not expensive things but you know since I have been on Mylot sometimes I look at something and I think how long on Mylot it would take to pay for it and I tend not to buy it...I am just a little bit more picky at what I spend my hard earnt cash on...maybe this will work for you too...good luck

The only way to stop unnecessary shopping is to stay away from shopping malls. Even if you condition your mind that you will not buy anything, the moment you get inside a mall there's always this itch of going home with that nice smelling lotion even if there's still an array of half-used bottle of lotion on your dresser. I am also guilty of buying things that I only want but not really need. To top it all, I can not go home straight without stopping by a mall! I was able to at least lessen this light form of addiction by setting my eyes to other things that can fill the time that I spend going to malls. Things like I need to be home before 7pm at night so I can watch the news or that funny TV show.
