Girls are giving much importance to beauty because they some sort of insecurity inside. Men also do. Not only women. Beauty is skin deep but character goes right to the bones as the saying goes. I would say that the character is more important than anything else.

do you like looking at ugly things? Would you prefer that every sight around you looked ugly? Girls like to look beautiful because beauty is appealing to the eyes! Life would be horrible if everything and everyone around you looked ugly. While if everyone around looked beautiful, then the world would be such a beautiful place to live in!
