Does any one have any ideas on how I can get my son to sleep through the night?

My son is 7 months old and he does not sleep through the night. Which I wouldn't think was too odd because he is my third and I have heard that breastfed babies often do not sleep through, but up until about a month ago he was sleeping 10 to 12 hours a night. Now he hates his crib and wants to sleep in with me and my husband which makes me very nervous because he is already crawling and I don't want him to fall off the bed. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
