My son loves ramen noodles and I make them whenever I am pressed on time. But I also make noodles from scratch to, to be used in my homemade chicken and noodles. It is such an easy recipe that my grandmother gave to me. I enclosed it at the bottom of here incase anyone wants to try it.
Homemade Noodles
2 eggs
1/2 to 1 t. salt
4 T. melted oleo(that's butter)
flour
Mix all together; you add the flour a little at a time until it makes a dough ball. Roll out on floured surface to desired thickness. Cut with a noodle cutter or a pizza cutter will work. Leave a couple of hours to harden up. Then cook until done.
They are so good and everyone I have made them for gives them rave reviews.

Yes, I cook noodles alot. There is usually a tupperware bowl of them in the fridge. WIth a family of 7, it is a quick and fast snack or meal with little prep time. Adding butter, cheese, chicken, veggies, or what ever they want. Plus, it is inexpensive.

Love noodles. Get used to it.. since my secondary school. Apart from foods from our dining hall (i was staying in hostel during secondary school).. we have stocks of noodles in our room so when we got hungry, we have something to eat (especially at night). Even now.. i still love noodles.. especially when i am too lazy to cook..

I don't care for noodles, but I do like the Ramen kind. My daughter is the biggest Ramen noodle fan. Chili is her favorite. She would eat them 3 times a day if she was able to. My concern is the salt content. But using only half of the packet, the taste is ruined.

hi, anshnav,
convenience may kill you. to have noodles once in a while is alright. i hope you are not using noodles as a staple diet! there are three reasons for that statement:
1. in India we have a buffer stock of almost all commercial grains for famines with the government. that is retained for a long period of 3 to 5 years. within these years the wheat which is usually stored in you know what kinds of conditions. then it is is sold at a throw away rate to commercial flour mills which is converted to flour, bran, husk etc. now each flour mill has to utilize at least 20% of their installed capacity of milling from the buffer. this product cannot be sold or blended with retail sale units due its color, smell and non edibility. so it has to go to intermediate users like biscuit manufacturers or pasta companies.you are buying that stuff and relishing it!
pasta products cannot contain dietary fiber due to process restrictions. so you are not ingesting adequate fiber.
the price you are paying for that 200 grams of junk is outrageous.
if you are living alone search for a homely mess. that is the best alternative!
