What is important - physical beauty or internal beauty.

It is no doubt that internal beauty is important. And I agree with you that people with beautiful looks do get more opportunities than other people. Many people just turn you down before you have the time to show your internal beauty. However, physical beauty can only be born with. No one can choose a face or a body for himself/herself. So only internal beauty is the thing that we can gain with efforts.

The standard of beauty has evolved since the beginning of time from full-figured to sexy and in today's time...it has gone down to being skinny...not to mention the emphasis on face value. Many people regard beauty as only physical but to thise who understand the real meaning of beauty they know that it all comes from within. But in the advent of commercialism, beauty has gone in a different path and the reality of life tells us that it is equivalent to more opportunities as what can be observied in most industries. We should remember that physical appearance is temporary and that it can only do so much for an individual. If deep inside, you are hollow, then you got nothing else to offer to the world and eventually you'll be disregarded. People who may not be attractive but are intelligent, skillfull and with a heart of gold...those are the ones who are bound for authentic happiness and success. So never underestimate the power of innter beauty for time will come that it will eventually flourish and radiate infinitely.
