I have been a navigator for 8 years now. Its fun getting your plane over your desired location at the given microsecond and achieving the best results. Its a tribute to your skill getting the pilot to land the plane at the time specified. However with the advent of technology like GPS, navigators are required only for very specified tasks in aviation. Do you think that navigators are a dying breed? Do you think that navigation is a dying art? Do we still stand a chance in civil aviatipon field? Or do we hang up our flying boots after retiring from the millitary?
