In landing a dream job, buying a new house, going after a guy/girl that you like or even eyeing that long awaited promotion in your work: are you a bold person who pursues your heart's desires? If you sees something that piques your interest, you're all over it.
Or are you so scared of stepping on others' toes, you're paralyzed in place. You don't want to rock the boat by asking for more work perks or bother anyone for a favor. Because you're scare that you will fail miserably or have this great fear of competition.
Or are you those who makes a terrific deal maker who goes after what you wants without trampling on the needs of those around you. You will think things through using your creativity and doing your homework.
I know there's nothing wrong in pursuing something we like. Which of the three stated above are you and what will you do to go after what you want? Please share your thoughts.

I think I'm one who will pursue what I want but without coming in others way, I am a considerate person and not a selfish one. If I set my mind to something then I rest only after its achieved. I never give up and try very hard, try all the means and only then let go if its not possible to get it at all. Sometimes all what we want is not what we'll get in life. We should learn to accept things as they come. If I want something that badly, there is a valid reason for it.

I TRY to go after what I want as much as possible. Its funny the things that force me to start going after stuff I wanted to make me think it was meant to be.
I updated my resume last year after a job asked me for one, and I hadnt done that in ages. I didnt get the job. But I got my resume updated a true blessing.
Now that I had almost 3 months no job, I was forced to spend time cleaning, unpacking and most of all writing. I think I have gotten much more serious about my writing ideas then I would have had I been working this whole time.
I am excited about going back to work on Monday. But I wont forget to keep writing.
So yes I go after my dreams. What I want. I go for it. And I try to NOT give up like I have in the pasts and follow after what my dad does ALL the time. He is always trying to start a home business and gives up before it starts to work out. I dont want to be like him in any area.

Wow, im a very ambitious person. HoHo... Im not genius, but im not stupid. When i was in high school, i was very challenged when i saw my friend got into the 1st place in class. I studied so harrdddd... but in the end. she still won the competition and i admire her. ^^ She deserved the 1st place. Even though i couldnt beat her in all the subjects, but i did beat her in English and Physics. Hehe...
Until this very day, im a competitive and ambitious person. Although other people look down on me when i wanna get sumthing, i still do what i want -i even got more challenged-. I wouldnt know until i try, rite.
But, i also remember that there is God and i wont be able to do what i want if i only depend on my own ability. I must depend on God to be able to do extraordinary things -when i allow Him to use me-

I am more of the third. I do go after the things I want, but I am also a bit shy about asking for raises and such. So I tend to do everything myself where possible. It is not the best way, but it is my way! And somehow I seem to make most of my goals. :)

I think it depends on what it is, if it's really worth it, what it would take to get it, the pros and cons...
A lot of people do real horrible things to get what they want, by cheating, stomping on others....
I think as long as I'm not harming people in the process and I can acheive it I'll try to fight for it but I also won't go to an impossible extent to get things, some things aren't worth all the sweat.
I'd work to deserve it, so that if I get it I'll know I earned it through my commitment and not by other methods.
I'd try not to step on people's toes but I think I'd also have to but my own toes out there so to speak and risk some aspects.
But I think I can be shy a lot of the times in certain aspects. I have stuck myself out there for the one I love and I wouldn't do what I do or even did in the past for him for just anyone.
Hope you understood, sometimes my line of thoughts can be confusing and I wasn't to sure how to write down what I thought about it, sometimes the words or so well written in our minds but we just can't seem to express them properly.

I am definately a deal maker who thinks things through, without stepping on others. This is my life.

I never give up on things that I think I deserve in life. I always go after what I want. sometimes it doesn't work out, but then I just think it isn't meant to be. That rarely happens to me any more. When my husband and I first started out, we struggles to get loans or anything. We had good credit but the finance companies wouldn't give us a chance. As time passed by, it got easier to get assistance with our finances and everything seems to be going smoothly now, thank God. I went after my husband back when we first met and I kept telling him how much I loved hom. He finally asked me to marry him once he knew there was true love there.

I do not really know what I want. Yes I know I want to rule the world but other than bombing the world back to dino age where I am the only one left, I am quite clueless. I am just not too ambitious. I am a nihilist. Why bother too much?

Its because you haven't found it yet. Open your eyes wider so you can see what you really want in life. You may think you're not ambitious, but you are. Its not wrong to be ambitious. I'm ambitious too. Just don't think about dropping those bombs on me though.

I do not fall into any of the 3 category above. I did my homework diligently but then... I was once bold enough to pursue my dreams. I am not scared to step on other's toes. Neither do I have the will to charge forward without trampling on others.... I am still wondering what to do after not getting what I want.

It is better to say and act on than for one to say and do nothing about it. I do have dreams when I come back to the Philippines this year -- my own business, getting back with my girlfriend, getting married, having kids -- looking at it in a positive side and not doubting. It reminds me of the movie from Will Smith "Pursuit Of Happiness" holding on to your goals and dreams and to protect it.

In both my own life, as well as what I advise others to do, it is always going after the heart's desires.
People tend to only go after things that they THINK they can attain, which is total B.S.
If it's physically possible, then it is possible for me. Period.

I am one of those who makes terrific deals , I am used to go after what I want without trampling on the needs of those around me. I will definately think things through using my creativity and doing my homework.
I love to do all work thinking about it's consequences, profits and losses. I usually go after each opportunity I get after calculating the risk and amount I'm going to get in profit after taking the risk .
