LESBIANS: girl to girl? or tomboy to girly?

in movies, lesbians are girl to girl relationships where in those girls are really girls. i mean they talk, walk, dress and act like girls. here in philippines, lesbians are one is a girl, and the other one is like a man. i mean she's a girl but she dress and act as if he is a man.

Lesbians as far as I know are women loving/ having relationship with another woman.The word is used with reference to women relationships , I don't know why in Philippines they have changed the meaning of the English word.
