can you create a folder with name con on your pc, i cant on mine

hey no need worry an indian man found out taht you cant create a folder with con name on windows operating system. so try it if you use windows you can ok.

It is not just CON, there are many such windows only reserved words which you cannot use to create a folder or file. One such word i think is NULL. Since I am not using windows now I am not able to test this word. If it is not correct I am sorry but I am sure there are a lot of such words.

Hi friend thanks for this new information.I tried what you said and you were right I could not rename the folder to con.As correctly said by one friend it is a system, windows reserved keyword so we cannot use it directly.Do you know some more words like con.Please share with us here.

CON is a reserved word in windows operated
systems . A reserved word cannot be used
easily as a folder's name .
CON stands for console ( for e.g. key board) .
And a list of such key words can be seen
in IO.SYS file in windows operated systems .
