I have someone requesting to be my friend. They have 1 post credited to them, but they hold a green star with a 5 rating. They have one discussion started and they have replied to one discussion. I do not know why they do not have 2 as their posting number. Could this be an error or is this person a hacker in the system? Their name is zurbaa.
Here is their profile http://www.mylot.com/zurbaa/discussions?t=start
Should I alert MyLot or just not add them as a friend and not worry about it? I always think hacker when I see something like this.

I think he has used the star as his avatar, wmg. It's not the mylot star, rather the mylot star showing as his avatar .When I looked at the profile I saw the same star that shouldn't be there. So, I guess it's okay.

instead of myLot's supposed numbered star rating, he/she, zurbaa, used that (maybe captured onscreen then used an image editor..) to be his/her "Avatar". i guess you were under an "optical illusion" at first glance.?

Wmg, its showing (2) because he/she has responded to one discussion and started one as well. Our points increase when we start discussions as well. I don't see how this person could be a hacker, and also this user's response to that one discussion is relevant and doesn't look copied. If you want accept his/her request. I don't see a need to report.

greengal, I don't think that we get points for starting a discussion it's only for responding to them. :)

Hmmm that does seem strange . Not sure how they could have a rating wiht a star if they have only a one by their name . I think I would report this just to say what they say about this .

wmg, I think what I would be concerned with and only because this has happened to me many times is that you will get spam in your email with referral links. If your okay with those then nothing to worry about. Every time that I have accepted a friend that only has a couple of posts this has happened to me.
I agree that the star is just the avatar and the same as you I would have picked a 10 and gone all out. :)

Also when I went to the profile the discussions they started is 0 so that has been deleted. My guess is that one of their responses has already been deleted also. Since we only get credit for responding to discussions and not starting them. (By credit I mean our numbers increasing)

Yeah I think the 5 Star is his aviatar, but I want to know how he got a 2 when he only responded to 1 message, last time I checked you only get 1 point for each response you post to or discussion you start. Although over the past few weeks I have been more apprehensive of these type of people who don't even respond to your discussions but yet want to be your friend, I have been spammed too much that I would rather decline their friendship and I will easily accept someone who has a higher score as a reputation that they won't spam me.

# days after he is still here but he didn't sing up since day one and didn't do more post. The 5 star as you understand until now is him avatar (I really don't know how he did it)Now if mylot allow to anyone use an avatar like this .......need to sit and see.
At a comment of yours here I read at least he most have the 10 star not 5.....there is an explanation about this.He is SO sure when he get one own star after 100 post will be definitely a 10 star so doesn't want anyone confuse it with him avatar.
