are you still feeding your pets can food?

i am not giving my dogs any can food again!!! it makes me sick to think of the poor animals that had to die due to this it makes me even madder that the people that lost thier pets cant sue due to the fact the gov has no laws to allow it they look at our pets as a luxury that we buy. well you know what my dogs are my kids and they do count to me. give me a break some people go to other countries or to sperm banks and buy thier kids and thats ok so why cant our anilmals count? i think we all need to write our senate or congress and get a bill passed to make them count!!! what do you think?

Just this afternoon, I heard on the news that rat poison was found in the Canadian plant that manufactures the canned and pouch food that has been poisoning cats and dogs. As a Canadian, I am embarassed by this discovery. It appears to me, that someone must have deliberately added the poison in the product....SHAME ON THEM!!!!

lifeluver, yes I start to think that way too. someone hates animals they know we love animals we will do anything to protect our pets, so they do this.

According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch:
The problem is limited to Purina's La Encrucijada plant, its only facility in Venezuela. None of the food was sold in the United States. The recall includes about 10 brands; all the products are dry pet foods.

well your info is way wrong its menu foods and 200 diff brands were recalled and now they say its rat poison

It is really sad about all those animals that were affected by that bad food. I have always bought my pets dry food so this was not a problem for me this time but it could have been if dry food was tainted as well. What if someone's child ate some of the canned food while the parent was not looking?( I know, yuck!, but it could happen.) They should have more strict standards about all consumables.
