Does it matter if you can have a intellegent converstation using little words but to the point or using big huge words that know one understands.

Intellectualism, to me, doesn't mean using big words that no one understands. I think being an intellectual denotes that you actually THINK about what you are saying. And if the thought and effort is there, it doesn't matter if you're not using words like "philanthropist" and what not. But some people get off on talking about things no one else understands. it makes them feel superior.
