Claire Danes said that Manila (Philippine Capital is filled with roaches), most American that I know associates he Philippines with the Smokey Mountain (literally a mountain of garbage and solid refuse) and of course the thousands of shoes of the legendary Iron Butterfly, Former First Lady Imelda Marcos.
Has none of these things ever changed through the advancement of technology? MAking the access to information easier? Alot of you might have run into our country in one way or the other. So I am sure you have something to say about it...
Please be honest. Be mean if you have to...
Thank you very much... Make yourselves heard, your opinion matters

Claire Danes is one of those hypocrite celebs. kris is correct in declaring her as persona non grata! She was so quick in judging our country when she had not seen the rest yet. She doesn't have manners at all. It so happen that Manila is the capital of the philippines because of it being the center of commercial trades. But my goodness.... I have met a lot of foreigners who have appreciated the beauty of our country. There is Boracay, Siquijor, Puerto Princesa, Batangas Resorts, and actually a thousands of them. If I have known, Her country has more bif roaches than ours. LOL

True, but have we looked at boracay and its algae lately? It was declared as the world's best beach in 2000 (better than phuket and bali) but are we taking care of it? No.
To what extent would the beauty of our country hold? Next thing you know it would just be another "Hinulugang Taktak."
Thank you very much and your response has been + marked

Although Philippines belong to the 3rd world countries, that doesn't mean to say that we are no longer rich in some other aspects. We are very rich in tourist spots and that makes our country a very wonderful place to spend your vacation.
To those foreigners who have only been to Manila, for sure, they would not really appreciate our country. Manila is only the Capital of the Philippines, but not the best tourist spot. ONe has to explore still and hop to different islands. People are hospitable and entertaining so they won't regret their stay here. :)
