You can't read the news now without hearing of some priest being convicted of having a relationship with someone now these days. I think, if they were able to marry, half of them wouldn't have those problems. Who thought of that, anyways? Peter (according to the RCC) was married, so why can't the priests? It is not good for man to be alone, perhaps G-d knew what would happen if they were forced to be alone.

what can we really do about it? it's their doctrine and it will take the understanding of God's word for them to know the God did not mandate them not to be married.

Do we really hear about priests every day? I don't.... I hear about it very seldomly, but I can see what you are getting at. They knew what they were getting into, and there are plenty of priests that don't sexually assault boys.

As far as I know, priest must give all they have to God. God choose them to be His priest. Being unmarried man, they can serve God and people without any barrier. If they (priests) fall in love and want to get a wife, may be, they dont want to be a priest anymore.
