why we fight to each other just because of religion

because not all religions teach to love each other some even advocate the killing of those who do not believe as they do .even so far as teaching this in thier so called holy books

no nobody likes to fight for religion not for religion but nobody like to fight it's the politics that play a major role here to get people deflect there thinking towards there party and to win the faith of people by settling down the problem

Eventhough we say unity is intergrity people always fight on the base of religion.This is mostly happening in India where people of all religion live.They live peacefully as neighbours but tend to fight with one another when there is a problem arising between their religious leaders.With the growing number of educated people I feel this enemity between different religions can come to an end.

you are right,we should never fight over religion,and it is not pleasing to GOD,however I have been guilty of it lately because all these athiest on yahoo have been making fun of believers,and I felt bad about it,but I just wish people would respect others and not bring up peoples religion...They get on here a make fun of christians,and ask ugly questions,and its hard to deal with.....I think like you do but what do we say to people that always down you for believing?

When people fight over religion, it's a sign that there's either something wrong with the religion or something wrong with the person professing that religion. Too often, the religion itself is blamed, but I think that it's probably more commonly a failure on the part of the person fighting who isn't understanding their own religion.

this is something even i dont understand wen every religion teaches us to care n love for each other why do we kill each other in name of religion.............. probably misunderstand their holy bokks............

There is fighting because someone has to be right. At least in their eyes. I wouldn't fight about my belief or whether someone else's is wrong, but I would fight for my right to exercise my own faith. I would fight for my freedom to worship in which my forefathers said I should be able to do. And I wouldn't stand in someone else's way just because it isn't the same faith as mine.

Religion is an individuals personal thought. Its their beliefe to believe ib what they like. But yes one thing I know is that no religion in this world preaches us to fight amongst us. its not religion but ego that makes us fight. You should not compare your religion with other persons religion. And if you strictly follow your religion then , you will never show any disrespect to other persons religion.

for some people religion acts as a status symbol and they do anything for that.for some people religion is just to show what they are actually and they doesnt want any other religion to combine with them.

i think we all should have to give respect to the all relegions instead of abusing them and their followers.because it is the major reason that causes many lives to lost on the name of relegion
