Rachel and Paris

When Rachel gets the new job in Paris in season 10, she ends up not going. Is it terrible of ne to say that if I was in her shoes I would have still gone to Paris? I mean, it was so important to her and she was excited. I would try to get Ross to come with me, but I would have wanted to still go to Paris. What about you guys?

I defenitely wouldnt go to Paris if i had to live apart with person i love to. You can find job everywhere and make carier in any country, but to find the right person its really hard. Sure true love can support desipite of distance, but would the distanse make anyone happier?..And sure Ross cant leave NY not because of carier only , but due to Ben as well. It was just splendid that Rachel stayed...

I would have gone to Paris too. I am one of those people who believes that distance in not really a hindrance for true love. If the hearts desires, one will always find a way. Not going because of Ross for me is wrong because she end up wondering the 'what ifs' if she went ahead with her career. This also reminds of the movie 'View From The Top', starred by Gwyneth Patrov. She was a flight stewardess and pursued her dreams and have chosen it by forsaking her relationship with the man that she loves. In the end she came back to the man and realized that the love matters to her more. It's also a test of how true your feelings is with the man that you love.

I don't think ross would want to move to Paris though because he has his own career in New York. but i dont think it would be awful of you to want to bring a career to the next level. Like they say in the episode, the company Rachel is working for is going to fly Ross to Paris whenever they want so he can see Emma, and of course Rachel.
