The best Rachael Ray show ever?

United States

I have to say, as I'm typing this I'm watching today's episode of Rachael Ray. They are honoring a man who served in Iraq and is celebrating his 40th birthday. His wife wanted to do something spectacular for him. Rachael Ray and the show has dedicated the entire show to him and this special celebration. Here's a man that truly is touched, crying as they flash pictures of him and his family and sing "I'll be the greatest fan of your life" as he sits with his kids and wife, and friends and family who were invited. As hard as you try, as you watch it there will have to be a tear in your eye to see this hero that is not only a hero to us here in the US for what he has done but to his family who loves him and wants others to know how special he is. By the way.. he's only 10 today as he is a leap year baby! LOL So technically this is only his 10th birthday ever, not REALLY 40th! LOL

I'm sure you will enjoy it if you like Rachael Ray at all. It's not a huge "cooking" show this time... more set on making this a special day for the one soldier and his family. It was amazing though and definitely a double Kleenex day.

I saw the show and I also enjoyed it but I thought a leap year baby had to be born on the 29th of February?

Yes, he was born on Feb. 29th. I believe he couldn't get over from Iraq until afterwards and the wife wanted to do a special birthday celebration for him.

That was one of the best shows. It was a great thing to do for soldier. It definitely was one of those teary eyed moments

Yes I saw it too. It was actually a repeat. But I didn't mind watching it again. It was really nice and what a wonderful surprise it was for him. I can't begin to imagine how his family must feel seeing him go off to war. I just don't think I could cope with that. As for the show in general I really like it. She has a good variety of stuff so you don't get bored and yet she still has the cooking segment on at the end which I love. At first I wasn't sure about it because I felt like she did a lot of yelling but I guess someone has told her about because she has toned down so much.
