Problems with the email notifications?

Okay all I have had 3 days of no emails. I had contacted MyLot with no help from them whatsoever I'd say. Now after surfing around my page and doing a bit of changing I am finally getting my emails back to me. I have figured out the problem that more than likely is all our culprits. It took me an hour or so to figure this out on my own but here's a possible cure if you aren't getting these emails. It may or may not be the cure but once I did it my mail box started to fill up with the emails. Here's what I did that seems to have helped me anyhow:
Now at your home page click on "edit profile".
Then click on "edit preferences"
Then click on "account information".
Scroll to the bottom of this page. There is a box that says notify if someone responds to my discussions.
Make sure that's marked.
Then hit the update button.
Since I did this my emails seem to be working once again.
Thanks all and I hope this solves some of our problems with the email notification. Now I'm sure I'll have a loaded email box in no time. Hahaha.

yes it is. And lo and behold since I checked that box my mail box is filling up quickly. It has both new ones by friends as well as responses from friends. So I say that was the culprit. So I say that I FOUND the solution. The heck with contacting admin. Contact me instead. I need to be admin here i think. Sheesh now Ive got emails etc to answer by the tons. Hahahaha.

lmao HAPPY POSTING/RESPONDING GRANDPA BOB!!! I gotta admit when I check my email in the am and see a long list of emails I just gotta laugh cause most are usually new discussions by you, Grandpa Bob. lol

Glad you solved that for you now what about me? I realize that myLot has been upgrading or doing something to site but I have not been getting as much email as I used to this week. I went from receiving 40-50 emails overnight from myLot to receiving 4 emails. I find this very frustrating since I rely on those emails to respond to my discussions and to join in my friend's discussions. I did everything you did and more (I wrote to a few of my friends to see if they were having the same problem and to write to myLot also), still no end to this madness. I have checked my friend's list, my preferences, nothing has changed yet my emails are still falling short, I still am not notified when someone responds to my discussion unless I go back and check to see and I am still not notified when my friend's start discussions, I find this a contention of great conflict for me this week, thanks for letting me vent, glad your problem is fixed, wish I could fix mine~

I've had no problem getting my emails. I also got my blue star back and I've been in trouble with nose bleeding, I was in and out of hospital the past two days and now I see I lost my star and point ratings. I don't know why...

I wouldn't worry too much about the star and all.
Things are changing here.
Maybe the rating system will get an overhaul as well.
Hope you're feeling much better now.

I have that problem as well but usually if I just go to my friends' list and look at them all, I find that, mysterially, a notification or 2 has been turned off. Back when you got my friend's request, a day or so ago, it was because you disappeared off my friend's list for some odd reason. Was thinking...did Grandpa Bob delete me or did mylot delete you. Still a mystery to me but glad your back on it cause I really like your discussions. :-)

myLot had some glitch and I lost I think 8 or 10 off my list.
LOL. You were one of the lucky ones. Hee hee hee.

Good work grandpa.I wish I just your luck before few days.I had the box marked this time but no lucky.As I see after I star my discussion I wasn't the only one.Anyway I'm hapy for you solved the problem fast and by yourself.Your post can help other members.

I have not had this particular problem, seeing as I now about 120 email notifications each day.
I have had various My Lot problems over the past few days, the majority of which are resolved. The exception being my inability to post photos on my friends comments pages. And I so wanted to put a cat and dog one on yours!

Yeah. A LOT of emails actually. Yipppeee. Grandpa Bob is amazing at times. Now my anger has eased a LITTLE towards mylot anyhow. just a little remind you. Still not happy with the contacting and no responses actually. I deleted all the messages to them so maybe they wont have them anymore. Doesnt matter. Maybe they need to be told a thing or two. HAHAHA. Thanks for the response again.

Since I rarely check my e-mail, coming here to look for new discussions is always faster for me. But nice job finding that out!
