I have decided to change jobs, I finally got a call today from a huge company thats setting up shop in my hometown early in April. I have an interview on Monday morning, in fact the job has a three interview step process, interview Monday, a test on Tuesday and a final interview on Wednesday...and I am so nervous I can hardly stand it...it has great pay and opportunity for advancement and I feel really confidant already that I will get the position, but its been so long since I have been to an interview I think I forget how the whole process goes...anyone have some handy tips that could possibly help me out??

Number 1 - Show an interest in the company for starters, research about the company before attending the interview. Find out if they have a website and research everything about the company.
Number 2 - Be honest with everything you say
Number 3 - Ask questions (showing an interest again obviously)
Number 4 - Eye contact is important
Number 5 - Confidence, not always possible with nerves but try your best
Number 6 - NEVER NEVER mention how much they are going to pay you
Number 7 - Don't chew or loose attention
I don't really know what else. But mainly DON'T WORRY , the interviewers are only human like you, if you really want something in life you will fight for it and make sure you stand a good chance of getting the job.

Three days...three interviews...and two test....sigh..been a long long week...had the final interview today..march 28, so now its just and wait see..there were sooooo many people there to be interviewed...and its a vicious screening process..but I did well on the exams...and i feel really confidant about the interviews..and i tried to be myself..and not to be so nervous...there were 2 women, and 3 men interviewing me across a big boardroom table..i felt like I was under a microscope...but all in all, i felt really good about it...thanks for asking...

hey,congrats:)
the advice i can give is be assertive, and make sure you have all your references writ up beforehand to take with.
i have a bad habit of forgetting them myself as i'm out the door.

the best tip I can offer is be yourself. Show them that THEY NEED you working there. be assertive showing that you're the right candidate for the opening. Offer them & tell them the things & skills you have that the company needs. Prove to them you are the only one for the job. That's all I can offer actually. Be yourself and prove prove prove yourself.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

Aww, thanks Bob, always been told that, seems they have over 100 positions to fill and they wont have to train me, supervisory slot for me, think I might be hired to then hire the other 100, make sense?..lol
thanks for posting Bob

First, congrats for getting an interview for a job that sounds like you want.
To prepare for the interview, check out the company. Do your research and at least have a look at their corporate website. It will help if you know why they are setting shop in your hometown (expansion? relocation?). If you can clearly tell them how you can fit and contribute in this new plan, you are going to increase your chance of securing the job.
If you don't mind being bored, go through those common interview questions and prepare template answers for them. It is one way you can cheat legitimately.
Last but most importantly, be punctual for the interview and stay calm and collected throughout the session.
Good luck! ;-)

Thanks for the advice Lord, had the interview this morning...wrote a test, had a sit down, was very nervous, but things went well, and I was the very first interview early this morning...got another interview tomorrow, and alas another test and a third interview on Wednesday, just too many of them, gonna drive me batty, but if i land the job, the rewards and the interviews will be well worth the effort..
thanks for posting.
