How many true friends do you have?

I have 4 people that I would consider my "best friends". One is my mother, one is my husband, one that has been my friend for 32 yrs and one that has been my friend for 15 yrs. I consider myself very lucky.

I have many "friends", but only several of them are my true friends. I have realized (from a long time ago) that there is a huge difference between those two. The following joke actually made me realize the difference. A friend will just bail you out when you go to jail. But a true friend will go in the jail with you and say, "We sure screwed up". That's what made me realize the difference. And yes, it's hard to find true-friends nowadays (with all the lying and cheating going on in our world).

hmmmmmmmmmm maybe 10, depends on how you define it I could safely say I have 300 aquaintances I sometimes think if life was harder I would be with aquaintances more and it might even be good.
