It has been estimated that three out of four menstruating women have premenstrual syndrome. Mood swings, tender breasts, a swollen abdomen, food cravings, fatigue, irritability and depression are the most prevalent signs for premenstrual syndrome.. Do you have any of those?
Personally, I don't have them. (Thanks God!)... But I do have a couple of friends who are suffering from tender breasts and mood swings when they are about to have their monthly menstruation. One of my friends is also very irritable, and so we can easily tell that she's on for a red day soon.. lol
how about you, do you also have this premenstrual syndrome? how do you do about it? does it affect much of your disposition for those days?
do share your thought :P

i'd say that i sometimes experience some signs if i don't get to eat healthy before my period. i'd experience having cravings for food, especially chocolates :) i'd also have migraine which usually leads to be being so irritable... o avoid these signs, i'd make sure to have daily exercise as well as eat nutritious foods like fruits and well-balanced diet

I get terrible PMS headaches which shut me down for a while and I become super hungry! Fortunately I don't have any of those other symptoms but the headaches alone are enough for me thanks LOL

oh yes....how miserable it is!
my symptoms vary from month to month, but i usually get very strange dreams right before...sometimes 2-3 days in a row until my period comes.
i also see a change in my skin, it becomes really unmanageable, such as itchiness, greasiness, pimples, overall irritation.
i get the occasional aches and bloating, but most of that is "saved" for my first 2 days menstruating. along with that, either during or as long as a week before, i get back pains that make it hard to sleep comfortably.
my mood doesn't get too weepy or aggravated except every now and again, and usually i'm quite upbeat, maybe to compensate for the misery haha.
i also regularly get a dull thudding kind of naggy headache the day of, or around that time.
all in all...yuck :(

Well, I had some of these issues like the Irritability and Depression quite bad, and sometimes the Bad Cramps, but now I am going thru the change, and also Insulin Diabetic which being Diabetic can cause severe mood issues in itself, so add these together, and sometimes life can be Quite interesting.
You are one of the Lucky ones if you never had to deal with these issues. Many I am sure, would Love to trade you.

Oh yes I do, and hubby dear knows when I'm snapping at him all the time...lol He is understanding and tries not to upset me. I have terrible mood swings and I feel we have no control over them. Later when I look back I wonder why I was so irritable and annoying..hehe I also feel tired and get cramps, my throat goes very dry which is a sure indicator I'm gonna get it the next day..hehe!

No I do not suffer with premenstrual syndrome now, but I did for a little while and at the time the doctor put me on a contraceptive pill and that corrected that and now I no longer have this problem. It did however affect my mood at the time and other signs I had.

I have just started with these symptoms and I hate them. About two weeks before my period I get the cramping and backache. I also get irritable and moody. I have the food cravings and I get terrible anxiety. That is the worst because I worry about everything and it just drives me crazy. I finally went to the doctor and got something for it. It does seem to be helping.

i have severe PMS. i have a condition called PCO(S), which is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom. It causes me to have terrible periods with very, very heavy bleeding, terrible pain, and an incredibly sporadic cycle. It also causes other problems such as weight gain, high cholesterol, irregular hair growth (thankfully i don't have that one!). Basically, it means you have cycsts in your ovaries and your hormones are pretty messed up. When these cysts decide to pop, the pain is intense. It can cause insulin resistance and high blood sugars as well, so diabetics, be warned! (i am diabetic) This condiiotn is more common than people know. Usually women with PCO(S) have trouble conceiving and hard pregnancies when they do conceive. i'm so glad i don't want children.

yups,i do..i crave for foods, and mood swings..If this happens, i really cant control my temper, but people in the house do understand already. I am just thankful for that, and thanks God also cause my mood swing only last for one day..Sometimes if its my period, and there's a change of mood i just make myself busy by cleaning the house and do some stuff that keeps me busy.
