Have you turned out like your parents??

It's just something I've been wondering about. I'm not a whole lot like my parents and neither are my sisters. We do share some traits alright but we have some great differences too.
Have you turned out like your parents, and if so, is that a good thing!

oh please say it isnt so. lol you know the more i think about it the more i see it, in my younger days i would say i am not gona be like that when i get older. my mom had a back injury so she was a kitchen sitter ,with coffeecup in hand all day well i am now disabled sitting at the computer with coffeecup in hand and i find my self saying things she said and wanting things the way she liked them
wow how we change when we get older,but i must say it is not a bad thing to be like my mamma god rest her.

I think so times yes. I do catch myself saying things my parents said to me. But I don't think I am exactly like them. I read books and books and more books on parenting. I learned a lot. i learned that some of the things my parents did was not the right way to raise a child. Although for the most part I was raised OK.

Ohh i sure in hell hope not!! lol!! I had real crappy parenting growing up,,they were very abusive mentally,physically and verbally..and they were never there for me..well I am breaking the cycle..i dont hit my child..nor will i
ever say things was told to myself..there were a few good traits i was taught and being independent and repsctful and well mannered,,and i am passing those on as well..

Somewhat, I think I have. I can see certain ways that I have, but in other ways no. It is a good thing. I can say they were always fair but a little too strict.

No. Not in any way. I was not raised by my parents beyond 5 years of age so I have not learned to be like them and my genes also seems to have skipped them.
