German Shepherds

Ireland

I have recently bought a german shepherd pup and would like to get involved in discussions about them. Does anyone have any interest in GSD or any other websites they could refer me to?

I love german shepards . LOL I would hope so since I have 2 . Duke is a 5 yr old and TaTa is a yr now. They are very loyal, even tempered, great with children, and easy to train. Their personalities are so sweet.I couldn't imagine not having my german shepards around.

Congrats on the new dog. I got a dog (Rottweiler) about 6 months ao and love her to bits. They are great companions and I really dont know what I filled my time with before we got her. There is a boarding kennel and dog training place in Mt Venus Rd Rathfarnham. I think they have a web site. I havent had to put my darling anywhere yet but will be using them as they were reccomended to me by a few different people. Apparently you need to book well in advance so they must be good.

Congratulations on becoming the companion of one of the smartest, and most beautiful dog breeds in the world! I have only had the pleasure of sharing my life with one GSD, but I have never forgotten her. My daughter and I got into rescuing mixed breeds and I haven't gotten around to adding another GSD to my life. I hope to do so one day. Best of luck with yours!

My husband had the most incredible German Shepard when I met him. She was so smart and you could not ask for a more loyal dog. Our one sadness is that she got arthritis bad in her hind quarters and we put it off as long as we could, but when she was in pain too often and too much, we had to put her down. You are very fortunate to be the owner of a German Shepard. I hope you will post an image !!

Im not sure about this but I think you have to have 500 posts before you can upload a picture on a post or copy and paste information onto a post. As I said I could be wrong and if so someone please correct me.

Oops, I started to answer and it did not appear, I must have hit wrong button. I recommend some of my fellow dog trainers sites... http://www.leerburg.com, http://www.workingdogweb.com and http://www.chercarkennels.com Also do a search for german shepherd dog message boards to find others interested in and discussing your breed. My own dog training website is being put on a new template so I will not post it at this time.
