Does affiliate advertising with adwords work for you?

I'm not interested on building a list, blog, etc... Just direct link adwords ads that send people to a product under my affiliate name. Do any of you do well with this tactic? Does it help to go for the UK rather than the USA? If you're willing to tell, what products do you/have you do(ne) well with?
