Basketball Head Coach

I agree with gnostic who cares about Tubby? It's a good move for Kentucky, it's players and fans. Billy D.(Florida) or Rick P. would be great to see. I want someone who'll be able to recruit and also talk. Tubby was horrible in interviews. Sounded like a complete idiot and that reflects on the rest of us Kentuckians.

I think it was a good move for him. I have heard that he was being treated horribly in Lexington, with much of the treatment being racial in nature. Kentucky has very high expectations. Making the NCAA tourney every year is not enough. They want to be in the Final Four and contend for the national title every year. Anything less than that will spell doom for whomever they hire as their new coach.

Who cares if it's good for Tubby! LOL It's good for Kentucky and that's good for me :) I sure hope we get a good coach in his place. I just wish Pitino could come back. I know he would. We're rumored to be getting Florida's head coach. He's pretty good so maybe we'll start doing better.

I think the fans in Kentucky did not support Tubby Smith. He was probably right at making a change. I am not sure Minnesota is the change is should have made. Tubby has more NCAA appearances than the school has in it's whole history. As for UK, I hope they can find someone who can recruit. Right now they are the winniest team in NCAA basketball, but if they don't do something soon they are going to lose that. Who do you think will end up coaching for UK?
