Global warming is a delicate issue... not only because it concerns us but the Earth as a whole. When are we going to be more responsible? When are we going to step up and make our own little contribution to stop this phenomenon?

Global warming is an increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans. Such increase in global temperatures can in turn cause other changes, including a rising sea level and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation. There may also be increases in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events. Other consequences involve changes in agricultural yields, glacier retreat, reduced summer streamflows, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors.
The world's primary international agreement on combating global warming is the Kyoto Protocol. It is an amendment to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Countries that ratify this protocol commit to reduce their emissions of Carbon Dioxide and five other greenhouse gases, or engage in emissions trading if they maintain or increase emissions of these gases.
