A couple in Chongqing,in defiance of a court order,are refusing to move out of their home,which is now the only building left standing in a construction pit.

i don't really know the whole story why they keep defying the court order. maybe because that't the only thing the left. A home is a essential or a based of the family, it's really needed for their shelter. but maybe most reason is, because the unjustified wrecking of the home.
