C#.net for me
It's powerful and is the best language after C++
especially for .net's design.

Well, It all depends on where you'v started at.. for exmple, if you are just learning your way through some html, c and so on.. then it's vb6. I really favour this language.. But if you're looking for more complex and if OOPS doesn't scare you, then fine c++, java, the queue never ends.. for me, i wanted to learn c++, but my computer programming teacher has frightened me on this OOPS,, she was rushing to finish off the subject as exas were nearing,, so I didn't get the nuts and bolts of c++ and so far,, it still remains a challenge to me.. so for me,, VB6 is the best programming language..

i have learned various languages such as C++, JAVA w/ JSP, VISUAL BASIC and PHP with JavaScript...
Visual Basic is pretty easy but its a drag that it only works with windows.
PHP is easy to code and very portable so i like it,,
And Java is kinda blooming nowadays, the pay is good too..
so i cant decide on what is the best...
i guess i can settle for all...

I think the programming language is the best is Java because the language is powerful and can run in multi platform OS. Honestly, basically I have fundamental in C++ programming language and I migrating to Java. And after learn I feel Java is more simple than C++ and so great for desktop programming or web programming.

Each and every person is different. People have their own interest's. I personally like C very much. It was the first programming language that I learned. It teaches you good programming habbits.

I feel more comfort with the C# (object oriented programming lang.) created by microsoft.
For a software robustness, durability and programmer productivity are much important the language should include checking array bounds, detection of attempts to use uninitialised variables, source code portability and automatic garbage collection which is PROVIDED BY C#!!!
PROGRAMMER PORTABILITY is MORE IMPLORTANT for those who are already programmer in C and C++....
It is also supported by C#!!!
You itself know that new learners start from C or C++
so they madly go with C# only because VB is entirely different from C or C++

If you ask me for the best, I prefer C++ for the best function I can code and VB for the best user interface I can create. The combination of both will also be the best for me.

as for now... Java is my favorite. And I heard that VB is very useful. I'm hoping to learn using this language soon.

Hi there!! I am now into Java and C#. what I like about these two languages is that they are OOP (Object Oriented Programming). It's all about re-usability and stability for me. I was once a VB6 programmer it's easy to use but it is not a full blown OOP language because it lacks "Inheritance" which is one of the major requirements for a programming language to be considered object oriented programming language. I suggest to those who loves VB6 to try and use VB.Net because it seems that even microsoft is trying to lose/obsolete VB6 since they are promoting more and more of .Net.

For me it is always object oriented so PEARL. I also do some of my work in Java. But i like UNIX nut shell scripting. VB good for visual designers.

according to me there is nothing to come if 'C' is not discovered. though VB is very easy to use its a package. i say that java i better than any other because it is platform independent. so i like C and Java
