i will definitely vote for oprah if ever she decided to ran for
president..
and im sure that oprah will win..
she is like a god in america..
she has been an inspiration to people because of the hope she brings to many hopeless men and women throughout the world..
i think america and the world itself will be a better place if a leader like oprah will rule the most powerful country in the world.

No, I would not vote for Oprah for president. However, you are right that she would win.
She would win because far too many Americans vote with their emotions, not their intelligence.
Why would I not vote for Oprah?
Next time you watch the show, notice if she "tears up" or out right crys. She does this almost every show. Is this because she "cares", because she is so "understanding", or "sensitive"? Maybe, maybe not. Either way a person prone to act this way is not the face we want to show the world on one of our leaders.
Why?
The world is full of people with power looking for simple minded "caring", "understanding", and "sensitive" people to take advantage of. When many of the leaders of this world see another leader with such characteristics they see a "sucker" and an opportunity. This is a sad commentary on the world, but it is the way it is.
If someone like Oprah Winfrey became President of the USA there would be trouble from little tinpot dictators from around the world, not to mention the trouble there would be from other major world powers.
The USA could use someone like Theodore Roosevelt as President, not Oprah.

OOoohh very nice post redyellow and I agree...and I have to add that as much as she may be a "caring" person to an extent...the general public who are her fans FORGET that its all about RATINGS...I have yet to see/watch ONE talk show host of that genre who doesnt "play it up" for the ratings cause bottomline THATS what its all about ;-)
And I think too that she just doenst have the spine of running a country....regardless of how TRULY caring/compassionate etc etc she is...the woman has no backbone....sure she is a great biz woman to an extent but she really just doesnt have the tough to pull it off
Now someone like Angelina Jolie has the "b@lls" and heart to pull it off LOL

I would definitely vote for her if she were to run. I think she would do a good job and do her best to try and improve the conditions here in the states as well as bringing our troops home. I think a lot of people would vote for her if she were to run someday. Anyone right now would be an improvement over Bush.

If I were a citizen of US, I'd probably vote for her. She has been an inspiration of many people from around the world, even men are inspired with her. So I guess, there's a huge possibility that she will win with the number of people who will vote for her as President.

To answer in a word, YES; but to be honest, I have to see what it is she is for; I may like and admire the lady, but I would sure hate to know that she's leading the country wrong, so while I would vote for her, I would check what she is standing for first.

No way! No, I wouldn't vote for her and I don't think she would win.
Like a god in America... umm, I have to disagree with that one too.
She is good at what she does, very good! She has the ability to sway the American view with her book club and favorites lists, etc. But when it came to harding hitting politics it would just not be the same. We all think about reading the books she is reading and being able to talk as eloquently about them as her. We all want at least some aspect of her lifestyle which makes us think about the items she buys and recommends. But when it comes to defending our nation, getting health insurance under control, establishing an environmental policy we can afford and all agree on she would flounder under the pressure and who knows what would happen then.
No, she is a talker and likes to be in front of a camera. Let's let her stay right where she is able to do the most good.

As much as I like her, I wouldn't vote for her. She belongs in Hollywood doing her own thing with all the actors and actresses. She is like God in America?? To who?? Not me. LOL

If I ever get the chance, I will most probably vote for her because she is a kind and a helpful person and come to think of it if she can help people now, I wonder how many people she will be able to help when she is the president and she may also prove herself.

If Oprah ran for presidency that would be worldwide new, evryday in every which way. She has done so much for some many around the world. She is the ultimate rags to riches story. I would definitely vote for her, she is so much a role model to so many.

I think I might vote for her. Sure. She has good lessons on life and most of her shows are really great. I dont always believe what she says, but most of what she says are values any good american should be able to follow. So yeah I would vote for her, and I am sure she would win!

Oprah for President? umm hmmm never thought of that. I would prefer she keeps on doing what she is doing with her life right now. I can't see her in that role and besides I don't think she would be strong enough to handle such a position LOL
