Parents Got Divorced!!!

It's tough....I think that divorce affects every child differently, depending on each unique personality and individual coping skills. Certainly if the parents are civil toward each other and keep the children in mind when making the decisions....this can help immensely. Obviously it is important not to put the children in the middle in any way and not try to use the kids to "get back" at the other parent. I suppose you need to "grin and bear it" in front of the kids while dealing with the other parent. That being said, it's ok to let your kids know you are sad and also to let them know that they can always talk to you about their feelings in the matter. Both parents need to be actively involved in the kids' lives, too.
