In some countries, abortion is accepted; it's legal per se. But in our country, it's not especially that majority of the people here are Catholics. It's really a no-no. People believe that abortion is like killing a person without any mercy at all.
Do you agree with it??

It seems that I am the only one who is not against abortion here. I personally cannot see myself ever having one, but there are circumstances that, to me, condone it. If someone is raped and becomes pregnant, how should they not have the right to an abortion? If a mother is not ready to take care of a baby and has no support system, they should not be forced into having the baby. Also, if there is a great chance that the mother will not make it through the birth, abortion should be an option for her. I find it appalling that some people view abortion as a form a birth control. Having an abortion is not an easy or inexpensive thing to do. The instances when I do not believe abortion is right are when a woman is in the second or third trimester and has ample time to decide whether or not to have the baby.

i cannot agree with abortion. I can understand how a girl can come to the conclusion that it is the only way out but i think in these abortion clinics or even in the doctors surgeries or hospitals that we should be shown a full picture of the baby inside us on our very first visit - not just the heart beating and everything real close up cos sometimes we really dont know what part of the baby we are looking at - but a full picture of the baby floating around inside of us.
i nearly miscarried on my third child and went to the hospital where they told me i had had a full miscarriage. As it was only 17 months since i had the 2nd baby I didnt mind (awful to say now). So to make sure the nurse brought me to do a scan where she got a total shock aswell as i did. We saw the baby in full floating around with his arms , legs etc in tact at 11 weeks. After that i did exactly what they told me (stayed in bed for a week) and wanted the baby.
There are plenty of couples out there who cannot have children and even if these girls have their babies and give them up it would be better than killing them.

Babies are NOT fully formed immediately upon conception. The disembodied heartbeat and fuzzy images are really ALL there are at that time. There is no fully formed baby, just a gob a fetal goo with a heart in the middle. The ultrasound isn't "really close up", there's really almost nothing there to see in the first place.
And 11 week fetus is more formed than a 5 week embryo. Extremities are evident, but not prominent at 11 weeks. At 5-6 is barely has a humanoid shape.

If I have to think of all the women out there, young or old, devastated by unwanted pregnancy, I feel abortion should be legalized to avoid further complications. Those whose willing will do it anyway - illegally. Problems may arise if it's not done properly. Personally, I wouldn't want to go through abortion or take part in killing the child growing inside me. If life is hard, I would rather consider adoption after giving birth. There are women out there who are not priviledged to conceive. Not all women are born mothers and my heart goes to them. Giving my child away to someone who longs for motherhood will not make me a better person but much less a bad one.

I honestly don't believe in abortions except in certain cases. Such as rape or incest. Also, if the child is severly deformed or the mothers life is in danger somehow. I don't agree with an abortion because the mother just don't want the child or something like that.

I can never justify abortion. The baby didn't ask to be conceived and it has as much right to live as we do. Abortion is NOT a form of birth control. For me, abortion is tantamount to murder.

I used to not really think about it, but ever since I'v lost 4 babies before they were born, I have more of a respect for embryos and foetuses and the act or procreation and pregnancy. I think in cases of rape and incest, abortion shoudl remain available, but in all other cases, the women should have the baby and give him or her up for adoption. There are many couples out there who can't have children and want to have an infant or two or three or four, and the probelm is that all the "unwanted children" are all being aborted now, so there are less babies available for adoption.

Before I got married, I'm sort of like for Abortion. I believe that women must have a choice. However, my views changed when I gave birth to my first child. Giving birth to a child is really some miracle. The right of the child to be born outweighs that of the womens right of choice, in my opinion.
