lAWYERS ARE EXPECTED TO DEFEND THE AGGRIEVED. They are also expected to defend their clients to the end even if it cause them to invent or lie just to win the case. what can you say about this?

I think it is totally unfair to stereotype ALL lawyers as I saw being done in some of the other replies. I am a lawyer and a darn good one. I am expensive but I am also very good at what I do having done it for over 20 years. People need to realize that filing fees, research, paralegals, and other people necessary to handle a case are NOT free. Yes many lawyers will lie but that doesn't mean we all are willing to stoop to that level. All lawyers are not liars and they don't lie any more than many in other professions do. I have met doctors, dentists, teachers, and even therapists that willingly lie to clients.

my grandfather who was a lawyer for as long as i can remember once told me to be beware of the two greatest liars in the world - salesman & lawyer. no pun or harm intended, he said it in a way that in as much as it is a profession, it is necessary in our society, not the lie but the profession i mean. for whatever it should be we just couldnt fathom its real purpose, i was once told by a pastor that the old language meaning of the word lucifer similarly means lawyer - to argue. just my piece, i could be wrong & i apologize for for any untoward feelings.

All I can say that the justice system in messed up in more ways then one. Attorneys are suppose to be in favor of there clients and yet not many are especially the ones who you get appointed at in court. You get for what you pay for and this is a very sad situration. Poor people don't have a leg to stand on in this sick justice society we all live and breath.
