Snoring drive me crazy!!!

I do snore when I sleep and my partner alway complain about it and to be fair to her, I will go to sleep after she had doze off else she will have a hard time listening to my snoring and getting to sleep. Snoring too loudly can have a serious consequency to your health, I did read on the newspaper that serious Snorers can die in the sleep due to blockage to the wind pipe and at time, it will stop breathing. I had a friend that went to the hospital for checkup and spend the night sleeping there to monitor his sleeping activities and found out that at time, he stop breathing for 10 over sec and went for corrective procedure.

My father snores a lot.But we all got used to it because he has a severe form of snoring called sleep apnoea.In this,the breath gets obstructed.My father would wake up suffocated almost every night.So I guess we were more careful and would wake up our dad when he snored too loudly.I find that getting him to sleep on his side makes him snore less.Same is the case with my husband.He snores louder when it is colder.DOn;t know what the connection might be.But I just nudge him and make him sleep to his side,then his snoring stops completely.

Hello dear leanette. I am glad that my wife does not snore, but I am sometimes told that I snore once in a while. It is strange that I can sense this sometimes, but not always. If I snore and bother my wife's sleep, she will just shake me to make me stop it and then it works. I am glad to say that I am not a heavy snorer though I do sometimes. There was one time when I lived in a hotel and had to share the same room with someone else. He was snoring the whole night, driving me so crazy as not to fall asleep. You know, what did I do to keep this boring snore? I turned on the TV, but it still would not wake him up. I was so painful not able to fall asleep because of his heavy snore that bothered me so much. The next day I was sleepy and tired and could not concentrated in my work. What a night I had!
