Beating and robbing an old woman...

Did anyone hear about the 101 year old woman in Queens, NY who was viciously beat and robbed? What would you do if you caught the guy? This sweet old lady was on her way to church the news article says. She was walking with a walker. I cannot believe someone could be so cruel. I would like to see him spend the rest of his life in jail.

This is a terrible crime tsgirl. He should be severly punished and I hope the same thing happens to him in prison. He broke her jaw - an eye for an eye. There was no reason to hit her, what was this 101 woman going to do to him? I guess you herd this on the news - huh?

Yes howard96h, the crime is awful and I cannot wait to hear/see on the news that he has been caught. I cannot imagine him not being severly punished, the outraged citizens of NY will demand it. In prison I think he already has a welcoming committee. Good for him. FYI, yes, I heard and saw this on the news on tv. I also had to close my eyes during my viewing of the video. Which probably explains my own reasons for not watching too much of the depressing things that go on daily in the news, in our world. Unlike some people, I happen to get very depressed with so many bad things going on. I am aware of lots of the news, usually I hear or see it later than most, but I am on top of it all...slower is easier for me to digest...Thanks for responding...take care...

Yes it is terrible, if it bothers you that much maybe you sould not watch the news on TV, you can always get them same reports online.

Thank you for your comment howard96h. Yes, I do peruse the newspapers online. In fact, I have a subscription to the Daily News and the NY Times. Mostly I use some of my weekend hours when I am off of work to look at articles. I guess that is why I hear of things later than others. I don't have lots of time during the week to look at the news or online papers because I have to work 8 hours a day and then I have other responsibilities in the evenings. I guess I am just slow at some things...Slow and steady win the race...I also love the Merriam Webster Online Dictionary, I use it to make sure that my spelling is correct because I do not yet have the ability to spell check my posts on myLot...Take care...

Yes I'm in Canada and I did hear about it. He deserves to go to jail for life. He managed to get 33.00 from the 101 year old lady. There's no telling what people will do for money.

What I don't understand is why they haven't caught this creep. Every cop in New York is looking for him. His get-a-way vehicle was a pink bicycle. Someone knows who this guy is and is protecting him. I'd like to see him caught and jailed.
What he did was unforgivable.

That is horrible picking on a poor defensive older lady. We had a situation similar up where I live. Some guy decided to rob these to ladies in their 90's. It back fired, they beat him to a pulp. He got away, but didn't succeed with getting anything. I hope the lady will be ok.

She is feisty, for sure. She wouldn't let go of her purse and pushed him. The a**hole picked up her walker and hit her with it. Fortunately, she is okay. She is refusing interviews, says she has Bingo to go to. She hasn't let it stop her from doing the things she enjoys.
He also attacked an 8o or 89 year old woman that very same day!!!
Apparently there is a video of the first attack, one of those new cameras they have on the street corners caught him on tape.
A new breed of criminal is among us. And so brave at that!!!
