Thanks for posting that. It is very moving. My fiance is going to Iraq in June after we get married and he spent most of last year in Afghanistan. That really does mean a lot to me to know that people support the troops enough to make a tribute like that.

Thank you for sharing that. Some of my very best friends are fighting in this war right now. My husband hasn't been anywhere dangerous yet, but his best friend is in Iraq now. It's nice to see support for them. They really do appreciate it.

Thanks, that was very touching. Last week we were at Sam's and the girl scount were selling girl scout cookies to send to the troops. I though that was a great idea, everyone loves GS cookies, a great tate of home. So any girl scouts out there..suggest it to your troops, show the service men and women that you care.

That is so nice. It is important for us to remember the enormous sacrifice our service personnel makes when they serve in harms way. We tend to forget about their realities as we are comfortable in ours. They appreciate the littlest things we do for them. I've helped send packages of homemade cookies, toiletries, games, etc. The are so hungry for anything that reconnects them to home. Letters are a great treat, even letters from strangers. I've written lots of them and sent them in the goodie boxes to be handed out to them with the treats. They always express extra appreciation for the letters. There are so many ways we can let them know that we support them, appreciate them, pray for them to come home safely no matter what we believe about the war they serve in. I agree, we may not like the war in general, but we cannot let down our service people. They are doing an incredibly brave thing over there and they all deserve our support. Regardless of how we feel about politics we should all love and care about our troops. Thank you for sharing that.

That was great video. It shows the more personal side of our invasion of Iraq. The interaction of the soldiers with the children was very touching. Men coming up to our soldiers and shaking their hands. It truly does make a difference to those guys/gals over there to have the support of the Iraqi citizens. It was also so sad to see how exhausted the soldiers appeared to be, resting or sleeping wherever they could.

Here's hoping that all service men and women can come home soon to be with their families again. Every single one is loved and missed, someone's baby. This war needs to end.
