I myself have learned a lot of what i know from my mother. I'm wondering how many people can say there moms or dads made them to be the person, or parent they are. I f it wern't for mom i dont know what i would do and i still call her daily for a recipe or stain removal advice etc... what are your thoughts

I agree that my parents formed me in to what I am today. I was the middle child so I had to work for everything i ever had. My sister and brother got everything they wanted. TO day there lives are a total reck. So I'm gratful they didn't do much for me because I would have never learned to be strong .

Mums are special and I only wish I was good at it. My mum was strict but usually fair, when I left home we became friends and spent far more time together than when I lived at home. She worked at school for almost 30 years and was brilliant with other peoples kids and with Bong when he was tiny - I have no such connection with him unfortunately - he was my mums more than mine as I had to work when he was tiny. Now I do not have her as she has gone off to dance with the Angels I have to try and deal with both my boys and I know I am nowhere near as good at it, bless her. We used to ring each other and watch tv together in different houses and she always had a good idea to try on any subject. We used to call one another every evening even when we'd spent the day together, although she could be hateful she was a far better person than I'll ever be. Enjoy your mum - love her every day - always apologise even if you are not wrong, lol, you seem to realise how precious she is, have fun together!

i know what you mean by "its hard to imagine being as good as her" i feel the same although she has formed me into the person i am i dont feel i can compete. my mom was always very close to jordan, this is my son with tourettes, he for some reason from day 1 had a strong connection with her. God bless your mom, im sure she looks out for you and your family. thanks again, you're an angel
