That's a hard one! I can think of a lot of singers I would love to have at my birthday party.
I suppose I'd have to say Stevie Nicks. I've admired her since I was a tiny little girl. I got taken to a concert of hers when I was about four years old, and ever since then I've thought she was one of most amazing performers ever, and I just love her style.

You both must have good taste. =p
Oh I can imagine it! And I can just imagine my husband saying "Oh no not Stevie Nicks. Now she'll never shut up about her." *laughs*
I would have to invite all my young coworkers who argued with me that "Landslide" was an original song by whichever country group it was that did a cover of it, so they can hear the original!

My two favorite singers, Shirley Bassey and Diana Ross. Your the first person I have ssen in this forum that likes Diana Ross too. She is fierce. If any artist knows how to capture the attention of the audience, it is her. Thanks bkfuels.

I am thinking this person has to be alive?
I would like to have Patti Labelle. She has a great voice. After she is done singing, she can help me in the kitchen with some of her great recipes. And, she must sing "Over The Rainbow" , that way I can think about my all time favorite Judy Garland and my dog can think about Toto, too.

Patti Labelle is fantastic and Judy Garland is a legend. "Over the Rainbow" what a classic song, you make me want to watch the Wizard Of Oz now. Thanks.

Well, if I'm picking a FAMOUS singer, I'd choose Morrissey to come sing to me on my birthday. And then, he'd just HAVE to sing "Unhappy Birthday" to me. Among other songs, too, of course.

Hmmm... Where'd you find that pic? It's not all that great. I mean, it's alright, but here's a better one. It's more recent, too. I kinda like it.

I guess he has to be alive right, because I would love marvin gaye or luther vandross, but given that both of them are not around I am not sure let take two seconds to think
Lionel Richie, would be good, now if usher was to come by I wouldn't mind a bit,

There are so many great singers that choosing one is very hard, but I could listen to Phil Collins all day and night, so if you could send him this way I would be very happy. There isn't any song I don't enjoy that he performs.
I enjoy Frank Sinatra, so if we can go back in time, then he would be wonderful. I'm half Italian and can cook for everyone. Lets have a party.
When I'm not listening to Phil Collins, then I listen to country music often, so every country music singer is invited. Somebody mentioned Reba and just wanted to mention how much she works with many of the future stars, which makes her a huge star in my eyes.

Okay it's a tie... Bono or Eric Clapton...and of the non living...it's Elvis!!!! Two years ago I had front row tickets to see Eric Clapton and it was without a doubt a fabulous concert..he is such a great musician and singer...so that REALLY shows my age...but I don't care...I love them both..and they are welcome to sing at my party anytime!!!!!! ( I'm sure they'll put that on their calendars!!!LOL)

I would choose Nina, the Philippine's soul siren. I love her soulful, soothing voice and the fact that she is really kind, funny, and smart. I have been her fan since the year 2002. I have all her albums and I would really love to be able to listen and watch her perform live. I never had the chance to do so and I can't say how cool it will be when she'd be singing especially for me. Hahaha. This thread gets me really excited even though I know that it's just a question. It's just it would be so cool to have someone that you really admire and look up to to do something just for you. That would make me feel really really special and that would be an experience that I would cherish for all of my life. I might even share them up to my great great grandchildrea.

I know exactly who I would want to play at my birthday. It would have to be my favorite band, Collective Soul. I've enjoyed their music for years now and I think it would be an absolute blast to watch my favorite band in an intimate setting playing the songs I want to hear. I'd actually love the ability to pick out the songs they would play. That would make it even better!
I know I'd love to have the lead singer "Ed Roland" sing at my Birthday.. It just wouldn't be the same though if the band wasn't there with him though.. As they play there instruments so well & I find Ed Roland has such a beautiful voice.. That all of them together makes for a great concert in general.. Full of energy, emotion, among other emotions I have found I have experienced when seeing them before hand..
I've seen them in concert a few times and I know that they would be worth having play my birthday. It would be even more awesome if it was actually my two favorite members of that band doing an acoustic set list. Ed Roland and Joel Kosche being there playing my favorite songs during my birthday would be such an amazing show. I could see my eyes going rather wide upon finding out right away who was the surprise guests for my birthday. I think I would be in complete shock as I feel that would be the greatest gift of all.. Being able to hear your favorite band or artist sing some of your favorite songs.. That may have been able to help you get through some rough trials within your life at the time..
That would be such a great gift to have them sing at my Birthday.. I honestly do wish that someone in my life had that ability to do this. I feel that it would make the best birthday present I could ever possibly get. I sometimes think to myself what I could do to ensure that they come here more often. That way maybe I could get someone to ask them how much a short concert of maybe 6 or 7 songs would cost. I know it would be rather expensive.. But I know they care so much about there fans so maybe they would give some type of discount.. haha..
In conclusion, I would really love to see my favorite band play my birthday. I believe it would be one of the most memorable moments within my life that I would end up remembering for years to come.. I'd love to have the ability to look back & reflect on this memory.. And remember how happy I was.. How special I had felt at that very moment in time..
To know that someone was willing to get one of my favorite bands or singer to play at my Birthday.. That they had took the time to think about me & give me a gift that was rather personable... I know that.. I've had the chance to meet them already and I did actually get to and now if I had the chance offered to me to have them play my birthday would just be the icing on the cake for me at the end of the day.. I think it would be a memory that I would never want to forget! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

Yes I can dream I suppose.. But I did get to meet him so after all that is good enough for me currently! As I know there are some whom have never met the bands/artists they admire or listen to.. So I'd say I am more than thankful for at least having that ability! . .
