What are your childs favorite outdoor activities? How often do your children go outside to play?

Every evening my kids, my husband and I used to riding bikes along the deserted railway lines to a nearby fishing village. We take about 2 hours for the to and fro riding. On the way we may stop and watch what ever things they are interested like ducklings on the pond, attractive wild flowers and fruits, insects etc. Sometimes we accompany them to fly kites or to play badminton in the field.

That's great! Sounds like a good way to spend some family time together.

mine LOVE to ride bikes, scooter, skateboard.. it has been very cold, so it's been awhile. It is starting to warm up and they are already begging to go outside. Once it is nice enough, they'll go outside probably a good 2 hours a day.

Yeah it's nice when the weather finally cooperates and you get to let the kids outside to play. When I was young we spent hours and hours outside playing all the time.

Riding their bikes, blowing bubbles, playing sports, swings and slides. Just being outside is a treat for them since we have so few days that are not too hot or too cold. We do try to get them outside every day even if its only for 10 or 15 minutes at a time.

My kids are grown now, but they always loved playing with sidewalk chalk and bubbles outside. They also loved the swings!

I try to get my 4yo outside everyday, even if only briefly when it's cold outside. He likes to help me around the yard. He likes to go on treasure hunts- looking for random pieces of trash & whatnot that ends up in our yard. He loves riding his bike, playing in his sandbox and climbing the little tree in our yard. I find if he gets outside even for just a half hour, he's much easier to get to bed at night. Not to mention he's calmer inside, if he's had a chance to burn off energy outside.

It's great to get them outside each day. They need to burn off some of that energy they have.

My son loves to go to the park and play on the slides and he likes to play with his bubble machine at home. Going to the park everyday isn't always practical, but once it gets warm and stay warm I will take him outside everyday for exercise and fresh air. We finally have a decent sized back yard for him to play in so we will spend our evenings out there.
