Saturday night and nothing on T.V., and nothing going on. I'm wondering if other parents have found themselves in this position. I work in a restaraunt, so I do have to work weekends, and when I am off, we never really do much. I can remember getting excited about the weekends, but it doesn't seem to be the same anymore. I used to enjoy going and listening to a band, or going out dancing. I think a combination of work, children, and age have made the weekends just another day for me. How about you? Do you still look forward to the weekends? Do you and your family do anything special together?

I look foreward to the weekends for the simple fact that I get some time off. I don't really do anything special on weekends. I relax, watch tv, do some random things online, that sort of thing. It's never anything special unless I plan ahead.

I think I would be more excited if I could just relax, but it seems like I have to try to get too much done around the house and such to just really relax. My hubby has weekends off, but with me working, and the schedule not being up very early, it makes things hard to plan.

Well, I enjoy weekends. It's finally the time where we can spend some time together as a family and plan really interesting things to do, even if it's just renting a dvd, popping some corn and sit down watching LOL
During the summer we like to go out or camping during the weekends, during the winter we tend to stay in playing cards or boardgames.
On the other hand I tend to see weekends as a time to relax and that doesn't always happen. All the cleaning and chores that we didn't have time to finish during the week...there's is something that needs to be done at home.
THinking about it, there are times where I just wish it was the middle of the week hehe

I think I had weekends off a little more I could enjoy them. I'm too tired after work to do much, and the hubby and kids want to run run run. I would like to get them to sit down and watch t.v. or play some boardgames.

Well, I have a job as a Dispatcher aka Call taker for a Taxi Company, and since I do have not Senority enough, I have No choice but to have to work Saturdays and Sundays. So Saturday evenings when I come home from Church, it gives me a chance to come home from work, and relax and kick back, work on myLot, etc. Then on Sunday evenings we have Church which is actually a highlight to my week to break up the monotiny.
I make use of my weekends, and actually most of the time they are interesting and exciting.

I still look forward to the weekend as a day of rest from my day job. I'm not rushing around under pressure to find the reports or charts that the others need. But still, I pretty much just veg out on Sat. and Sun I have church and catch up on housework. We don't do much with the kids other than hang around. They seem to take turns spending the night with friends, and their friends staying at our house. If we do go somewhere and do something, the weekend seems to go by more quickly.

Weekends are just another day for me!
My partner works on a 7 day roster so more often than not he works over the weekends, so i do wish we could get out & do something as a family but it probably wont be happening for a while yet!
I've never really been one for going out much anyway, i'm more of a home body so give me a good movie, some junk food & i'm happy at home!

I'm looking forward to when I have been at my new job long enough to have weekends off. I liked how you said "weekday earn money for life, and weekend I enjoy my life." It gives you something to look forward too.

We sometimes do special things on the weekend, but I more like to use it just to unwind.
Life gets so busy and hectic these days that it's nice to just sllllooooooowwwww down when you get the chance.

Weekend is just another day since I met my husband. He doesn't like to make weekends special so that we should have a special ritual to spend it. I never look forward for weekends and any holidays anymore because I can bring my work to home. Besides my husband is not interested to make any of the weekends and holidays special with any activities. -_-

i do love weekends even now. though the activities have changed but the zeal and excitement about it is still there. i wait for the friday evening and feel myself relaxed when i finish my day. the image of two days which i can plan myself is really amazing. i try to enjoy this time with my family or friends or in sports on saturday. sunday too is spent likewise but with a feeling of the end of the weekend which doesn't feel good. though i enjoy the weekend less than what i enjoyed being a student or a child but it still brings a little happiness to me.

For me Weekends are somehow more speciall than Normal Weekdays........
My parents are busy on the weekdays with their bussiness stuff and hence i dont get much time to Intract with them and moreover iam also budy with my Life in my normal days...
But weekends........
They Are special............
But am lazy at my weekends and my weekends routine follows as such.......
getting up late----late breakfast---late lunch---------listening the songs--surfing on net-----singing songs-----reading the weekend special newspaper-------sitting with my parents-----playing games---helping my parents in gardening----hang out with my freinds---watching late night movie------and enjoying life at most.
In this way my life continues in the WEEKENDS and am waiting for the next weekends...
anyway today also am doing the same..
weekend ....SUNDAY
take care ..
bye

Well, it is 5:43 a.m. now, and I'm getting ready to leave the house for work. So I hope everyone has a good weekend, and I do have something to look forward to when I get done at 2:00 this afternoon. Today is my son's birthday and were having a party for him. So that kind of breaks up the monotony of today for me.

Saturday I think to most of people is exciting day ,I always have very good mood in weekend, for the next free day, I can do lots of things I like, no need to start my job like working day . but in fact , Sunday is only as a wish ,most of them I spend on my bed on Sunday's morning, and in the afternoon, mood is not so good , for the coming day is the begining of the 6 working days.

I look forward to waking up a little later,
having quality time with the family, and going to worship service. Once in awhile we might go out to eat or watch some DVD's. I am happy that it's warmer outside so they can go outside and play

Everyone seems to live for the weekend now. Its always get through the week to enjoy the weekend. Personally I look forward to the weekend (if i'm not working) beacuse it means i get some time where i can do things in the order i feel and have a slower paced couple of days. Trouble is weekend goes so fast and before you know it your back in the week again! Weekend for me is time for my fiance and me to spend quality time together because in the week were often working can be difficult , so wel always put our weekends aside to have some us time and go out do things or enjoy and can chill out with.

I REALLY look forward to weekends, because that's when my annoying roommate goes home! She leaves Thursday morning and doesn't come back until Monday morning. It is a much needed and wanted break. Not to mention my boyfriend gets to spend the night! (We both live in dorms.)
