Will Carl Pavano be a bust?

What do you think? Will he pitch well this year, will he pitch poorly, or will he get injured and not pitch the whole season again? He is getting millions so he better be a 20-game winner but I am not too sure.

I think that he will pitch better this year but probably will not be a 20 game winner. Of course, it depends if he stays healthy. I think his career is actually on the decline plus the American League is full of quality hitters. I am not a Yankees fan but I think they should build their team from their farm system instead of going out and paying millions for players who are on the decline of their careers.

Looks like Pavano might get the opening day start for the New York Yankees! That's hard to believe. He's been one big bust. But his girlfriend is pretty. She's a model. He's never really eanred any of the money they are paying him. Maybe he change that this year. Start earning the money they are paying him. Opening day is home for once this year at Yankee Stadium.

I don't care about his girlfriend, but I think HE is cute. (FYI - I'm a girl) He is still young, so if he can pull off a good season, I think this will be just the first of many good seasons. He sure as heck has had enough time to rest!

He'll be fine. I could win 15 games with that offense.

Randy Johnson couldn't.

Well, after the horrendous seasons with Kevin Brown, my Yankees can't afford for Carl Pavano to be a complete bust. I'm going to be the optimist and say he wins 18 games. I think Steinbrenner and Torre would be happy with a solid 15, but let's aim for the stars!

What?????....This guy has been a LOSER ever since he left Florida. If the Yankees could get rid of his sorry **&% they would have.

Found this discussion while checking out the site (am new) The answer to your question should now be obvious. I am a massive Yanks fan and, as I predicted, Pavano is done. Hate to say it - but I am glad. Im sick of his crap. Wish we could have gotten rid of him during that tiny window when he *appeared* healthy.
