how many people maintain personal diaries?

i am 30 years old married and with living life with my family and friends , still find that i have to maintain a personal diary.for the most part i even take the times to write in general.writings helps me see things in perpective and get it outside of my thinking and head and be able to see it more clearly. which was a lot easier for me take decissions . what about you guys?

I like keeping a journal. I especially like the fact that you can look back and reminisce about the past. The only thing that bugs me is that I can't do it routinely.
For some reason I will have big gaps in my diary. There will be months where I haven't written.
I'm just not in the mood to write like I use to. Also, I sometimes just e-mail a page or two to myself. I treat it like a journal entry.
You get to let out some frustration and anger. At least I get that out when writing. I even somtimes cry while writing, which is hard because there comes a point where the tears cover up what you are trying to write.

I do keep a personal Diary on Xanga. I feel that is my get away and its also nice to look upon months later.
