If you are in depression, what would you do to make yourself happy?

My mood more or less depends on weather.I just cannot figure why i am happy when the sun shines brightly,and then become depressed if it is cloudy or rainy. Whatever i try to do to be cheerful, i fail at last. What about you? Are your mood weather-conditioned? Then what will you do to make yourself happier?

when i was in depression,i always do some laundry,i am a lazy person,so i always leave a lot of things to wash.it makes me feel better when i have washed all those things at one time.then i will not be unhappy any more.my friends know me,and when i do that,they know something must have happened,and they are good listeners,i will tell them when i finished my washing.then i will get out of my depression.

depression can make you insane if you dont know how to cope with it..well, for me, if i feel so depress and sad, i always come to my mother to talk about my problem and sometimes, to my closed friends so that the bad feeling that i feel inside will come out because i do sharing..you dont need to be alone if your depress because it can make you think bad things..

firstly i will analyses the matter annoy me,find the key point and treat it with a rational attitude.
secondly ,as one always cannot control his emotion even he know how to do, so i typically do something like running,singing, playing basketball,occasionally drinking and smoking.
in most case,after the two steps,i'll feel better.

If I am in depression I usually sit out alone or go on a long drive alone.

Great question. The things that make me depressed are things from my childhood. So I would try to fix those. Try to find the people that most hurt me, and talk to them, try to get some closure. That would definitally make me feel better. Also try to find a good Job, and not be so behind on bills. To much stress causes me depression.
