Very poor responses

That thing happened to me at few discussions started by me ... and i think i`ll be more specific in my future discussions and i`ll try to attract people to respond at my discussions ... Succes!

hi! don't worry too much about having low response rate to your discussions. give it some time. my first discussions didn't have a lot of responses too, although i've never experienced a 0 response. the most number of responses i've got is more that 30. and several of my discussions have averaged 10-11 responses. first, let me share you a few tips i have learned in my 16 days in mylot. one, respond to discussions that interest you and try to give quality response. quality means relevant and useful. please avoid one-liners. 2-3 lines at least should be good enough. be sincere in all your responses. and then, invite that mylot user to become your friend. two, when you participate in more discussions you can increase your mylot friends. participate often in discussions started by your mylot friends. they will appreciate it and will be encouraged to participate in your discussions too. three, when you start a discussion, please try to be positive and engaging. add some comments in their responses to let mylot users know that you read their responses as well as appreciate their participation in your discussion. four, rate the responses you receive accordingly. (+) positive when it's relevant and useful for you and (-) negative if it isn't. when you can, choose the best response in your discussion too. it shows appreciation to quality responses you received. i turn, mylot users appreciate it also. the first few discussions you start may not have a lot of responses so i suggest that you participate first in more discussions started by others. continue to build friends too. it helps you get many responses to your discussions in the future. when you reached 100 posts, you'll be earning a star rating. that's your mylot reputation for giving quality responses. by the time you have your star, i'm sure you have made several friends and your discussions have several responses too. keep it going. goodluck! hope this helps. :)

Many Mylot members are facing this no / few responses problem . I suggest to use relevant tag words (key words) with each and every discussion you start so that your discussion can have good chances of getting many responses .
